Delighted to be back filming with David Hoyles and the team at @theenglisholiveco to cover the first harvest and Olive Oil production at the most northerly commercial olive grove in the world. This is an exciting milestone and a testament to David and the teams dedication to their craft despite numerous challenges along the way. We had the pleasure of sampling some of the first batch of cold pressed olive oil produced entirely onsite with the brand new pressing and bottling facilit and can say that it’s some of the best quality oil we’ve ever tried. This is just a first step with the team looking to increase production next year. It’s been a busy few months so playing catch up with social media posts a bit! A highlight was working with renowned Poet, Author, Broadcaster and lovely chap Lemn Sissay OBE on this poem film commission for Innovate UK. Shot over a day in Lemn’s native Manchester the poem and accompanying film were commissioned to celebrate 50 years of the governments Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) program which brings together Businesses, Universities and Academics to solve real world problems to benefit the UK and global society as a whole. The Little Ginger van (which is actually grey and sort of medium sized) rocked up at the @royalacademyofdance for 3 days this week to support @khakifilms in shooting ballet syllabus films for a teaching aid app with some incredibly talented young dancers and wonderful teachers and staff. @panasonicuk #cx350 camcorders where employed to shoot the various dances due to the need for extremely wide depth of field in order to keep multiple dancers in various positions on the stage in focus, while at the same time being able to shoot in 10 bit 4K log. To mark the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the Empire Windrush in Britain, IWM has commissioned a poetic response by spoken word artist Kat François.
